This tune is about a cheap cigar. It was written by trombonist and cornet player Charlie Sonnanstine when he was playing in the Great Pacific Jazz Band in San Francisco. Charlie was lifelong friends with the original founder of the Yellow Dogs, Robin Wetterau. It’s 1959 and the tune is “El Producto”.
